Residential Brush Service

Pere Marquette Charter Township is happy to offer you at-home brush removal services. This service is designed for homeowners’ routine yard maintenance, not for major projects, tree removal, or clearing lots.*

Here’s how it works:  For a small annual fee, we will collect your stacked brush. Sounds easy? It is! But we need your help to make collection efficient for the Township employees, too.

BRUSH: A call to the Township offices (845-1277) will get that brush picked up any time, all summer long. They can usually collect it within 10 days of your call, so plan accordingly if you need the pile gone for a summer party or to impress your in-laws. We need brush neatly piled by the road (but not in the roadway).

Place cut ends toward the road, and keep the branches going in the same direction. This allows the Township staff to use the equipment they have and efficiently take care of the brushpile. They will remove limbs and branches of just about any size as long as you can get them down to the road. Please let us know at the time you place your call if you have large-diameter pieces of wood.

WHAT A DEAL! The Brush Removal Fee is only $40.00 for the calendar year. Residents may also sign up for Leaf Pick-up service -- both services for $80.00. Please see the page on Residential Leaf Pick-up for details on that program.

Please do your part to help us provide this service to Township residents by following the above guidelines. If you have any questions, please call Jackie at the Township offices, 845-1277.

*Unfortunately, residents and the Township occasionally have different ideas on what constitutes a "major project" or one that is too extensive for the scope of this simple homeowner's yard clean up service.  The Township reserves the right to decline brush pick-up services in any case where it determines that the resident has exceeded the terms of the agreement as outlined above.  No refunds or credits will be given.  Thank you for your understanding.
